Why ecstatic? Well, it's summer that said I get to see the Baybayon festival which is not the very reason why I was so thrilled but because of the Bikini Open, this would be the first time I get to see walking bikinis(huge grin)yes, I'm already 23 but I haven't seen an event like it so it's a dream come true (my wife will kill me once she read this).

But the ecstasy turned to a profound sorrow when my wife told me that the festivity was already over(kwink, kwink, kwing...)but of course I pretended that I was never affected, inside, I was trying to convince myself that it's okay, I was waiting for my motivation to kick in. So my wife and I rode in a bus (non-aircon) from CBD to Tigaon, and from Tigaon asked a tricycle driver to take us to Pier 0ne 39 (a resort in Sagñay). It took us 2 hours to reach the place from Naga City to the resort.

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 178px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2BweeqHjOFOrj_KI-pm_iMSyUla41Ye8HS9ShuJ74ee42beVOEzskyh8ezp1FJ9-LEuIhgLFdFTqRzBM7syXclaHYwyXp8oqW2XaYQ62Cm-zebcxJDsVjjPzA7zyjo0JuOwH6ONslIfo/s320/4583663182_8ede488020_b.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5469920000369053618" />
a nightscape from the shores of Sagñay

When I reached the place I realized something, my butt was aching from a long trip courtesy of JC Liner, but still thankful that my wife and I were alive after the trip (the bus driver was a former F1 racer). Seriously now, I realized that it's not the bikini after all why I should be in that place. On that night I was greeted with a beautiful sky, with a gleaming moon, and a rush of waves while taking my wife for a walk, I was never romantic my whole life except during that moment. The bikini thought was gone. Sagñay has more to offer, not only the bikinis, but also the place, the sand was not perfect white but very fine, fine enough to be used as an alternative if you ran out of face powder (not a serious suggestion). Sagñay is a recommended place if you want to find an atmosphere that's serene (during evenings), closer (2 hours of travel)and simple.

Note: I hope my wife won't kick me anymore after reading this.pathfinderhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01269086438971137148noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1183684513951565066.post-27483087847043997852010-02-15T00:53:00.000-08:002010-02-15T01:24:33.385-08:00How to kill boredomSunday, afternoon, humid, everyone was sleeping except from me. For some of us, I guess we need to re-learn how to be direct in what we are trying to convey.

Oh, by the way, we can be direct without being mean.pathfinderhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01269086438971137148noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1183684513951565066.post-11208854201783878362009-12-11T04:04:00.000-08:002010-01-12T18:28:47.453-08:00Your profile picture and your personality I was browsing the web a couple of weeks back and I read something about your profile picture on your social networking sites says something about your personality, I do agree with that. Even your password in your computer or e-mail says something about yourself. Like for example if your password is ************** (sexybeautifulme), it means that you are confident about yourself, you add other characters in your password like hotmama12@! it means that you are confident and cryptic at the same time. But I can relate more with the profile picture and what it say about your personality. Let's begin.

The Middle Finger Shot

I don't need to elaborate, there are people who are making this gesture as the new peace sign, for them, when they flip their middle finger it convey a lot of things like, peace on earth, my nail is newly polished, my middle finger is bigger than yours, at least for them it says a lot of meanings, but not to the one who's looking at their pictures and the one who took the picture. Imagine this, a guy asked a favor to take a picture of him and repays you with an F sign? What does their picture say about their personality?

I say that these people needs attention (they got mine :-)). I'm not sure if you'll agree with me but these people are attention seekers.

im sorry can't think of any example

I can tell you that among the words above it's the F word your going to remember the most. I'm not saying this is always accurate, but there's a high probability that Mr. Middle Finger Flipper is an attention seeker

The One Part of the body at a time shot

I was once part of this people who only post pictures of one part of their body it is the part of the body which is beautiful, noticeable and probably distinct. You get to see profile pictures of their eyes only (most of the time with contacts), lips only, ear only, legs only, foot only, abs only, hip only, why? because it's their asset, probably the most wonderful part of their body. I pity you if the most wonderful part of your body is your elbow. What does it mean if you post pictures like this? I believe that you lack confidence about yourself. You only show what's good in you. You also tend to be hiding so many things about yourself, I also believe that you are scared not to be accepted by other people.

elbow? not a good profile picture :-)

Next time if you will post a profile picture of yours make sure it will say something beautiful about you, show the real you, you get to know who the real friends are if they still stick with you even if they see the not so ideal thing about you.

And to the middle finger flippers, you can do something better than that, I mean you can get noticed without being KSP (not Kulang Sa Pinger but Kulang Sa Pansin). I do believe that there's something about you that's noticeable and I'm sure it's not always your middle finger, I don't know what it is but it's there, It can't be always captured by a camera but It can be notice by other people around you, and I'm sure it's something special.

Happy weekend everyone.

1. KSP. a person who lacks attention pathfinderhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01269086438971137148noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1183684513951565066.post-5916882952005480632009-12-05T02:46:00.000-08:002010-01-18T23:59:10.154-08:00How to surf the internet for freeHi, everyone, bit by bit we are trying to revive this blog site. The site is not dead yet it's just that the administrator is extremely busy with his job, the admin is not sleeping anymore, in short, in few weeks or probably few days time he'll be dead, pray for his soul. There will be a lot of readers of this blog all over the world who will be sad if that thing happens. Yeah, we believe that there are so many followers that are not being tracked by our sitemeter (lack of sleep causes hallucinations).

The title of this entry is not misleading, it's true, you can get internet access for free! Ask me why?
(I can hear readers screaming WHY!). This is a no-brainer answer. It's because I'm hooked to blogging that I want to write almost anything I have in mind, and sad to say, I have no time to travel, except from traveling going to the office or getting to our house that's why I don't have something to write regarding directions.

This guy is lost, wanting to find his way

Like life I guess, you need to be more reselient and take the full advantage of the things that you presently have.pathfinderhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01269086438971137148noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1183684513951565066.post-70888381391801894982009-11-01T17:38:00.000-08:002009-11-05T07:55:12.353-08:00How to approach a girl (as requested)I received an sms from one of the followers of this blog (there are only two of them :-)) to write something about how to approach a girl. I'm no expert on this but I'll give in (I don't approach girls, they approach me, ahahaha!) Okay, so I'll give in.

You know, girls are very-very or probably extremely unpredictable, it takes time to know them, yes, you need to know them for you to find out what appproach your going to do to approach them, girl's attitude, personality, likes and dislikes can be compared to an analogy, "Citizens are to president as solar system is to galaxy", try to give a CD of Rey Valera as a gift to a girl who digs in songs of Machinehead, I don't think she'll be happy about it, if you see the same CD the you gave her in a trash bin, we'll that's probably yours (it'll melt your heart).

You have to make a research about her, what are her interests, who are her friends, her favorite place, favorite food, favorite color, in short be a stalker (but in a very discrete way).

Okay, so you made a research already, it's time to approach her, this is the dicey part.

Approach number 1

Say hi to her, very simple but a lot of us turn pale or whitish, the technique here is put some foundation (not the white one, the brown one) on your face and neck to conceal your softness and smile. I said smile, or a grin probably, not too wide, and avoid drooling. When you smile make it realistic, you smile with your eyes, not just with your lips, you're not paralized for you not to be able to do it. Make sure she's looking at your way or facing you when you say hi, make sure she'll hear you.

Positive response

She'll smile back at you and say hi to you and when she does wave your right hand and smile again.

don't smile this way, pic courtesy of http://media.merchantcircle.com/22618517/best%20donkey%20smile1_full.jpeg

Negative response

As if nothing happened, she ignored you. (when this happens you proceed to approach number 2)

Approach number 2

Have you made your research? Does she have the Mother Theresa's heart? If yes, this approach may help you. Faint in front of her, I don't care how you will do it, just faint.

Positive response

She will rush towards you to help, now don't talk yet, don't open your eyes yet, pretend as if you're dead, wait for the mouth to mouth resuscitation.

Negative response
For the second time she ignored you, you didn't do your research I guess. (the bad thing is there's no third approach that I can think of)

There's just no perfect way to approach a girl and ensure it's success. From my point of view, you need to feel how are they going to respond if you approach them regardless if you use approach number one or two. There should be always chemistry, this chemistry you feel it spontaneously once you say hi to a girl, don't askt the girl immediately what she felt after you said hi to her, you'll feel it if something went off inside of her (I'm not sure of that word hehe). Then, you do it again, say hi and check her response, if you think the reponse is positive, take it to the next level, now go ahead and talk to her, talk about everything, and try to make her comfortable with your presence.pathfinderhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01269086438971137148noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1183684513951565066.post-48193930498370954082009-10-22T18:49:00.000-07:002009-10-24T23:57:26.552-07:00You need Good Monsters in your workplaceSleepy, tired, not well-compensated and almost dead, these were the feelings over the week inside the workplace, perfect time for you to take the nervous inducing, tension boosting and hyperactivity amplifying coffee.

starbucks alternative, cheap but potent

But you don't rely on coffee to keep you going so that you'll finish all the reports needed by your boss. I'm not complaining that life is unfair or tired of living. But there are some crazy people who complains too much about their lives and if you ask them if they want to get killed they'll definitely say I'm okay with this life.

I had a very tough day last Saturday, I want to buy barbeques(please ignore the spelling), the vendor was selling it for 8 pesos each, so without any worries I asked the vendor to hand me over five smoking, fresh off the grill barbeques. I was about to finish the fifth stick when I found out that I only have 20 pesos, I tried to compute if 5X8 is equal to 20, but I was wrong I should pay 40 pesos, which means I'm dead meat. If I can recover the other barbeques from my innards and re-assemble it again I'll definitely do it and give it back to the vendor and tell her that her barbeque sucks that I needed to return it (I can be evil sometimes).

My new barbeque place and yes bbq here is great

I probably need to use my looks and my charm this time to escape the situation. I started to talk to the vendor, telling her " you know what? your barbeque is really, really good with a huge grin on my face (she looked at me and said, pede bikol, di ako makaintindi englis noy). I also told her that I can write about her barbeque on my blogsite, I told her that this blogsite are being visited by a lot people from Japan, US, England, Dubai that if they read this they might come to your place and buy your barbeque, or probably even your store. She asked me, what's in it for me? I simply told her that she just need to give me a discount, 20 pesos for five barbeques and the vendor said "okay". I fled away with a huge grin on my face and a bloated tummy that afternoon. :-)pathfinderhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01269086438971137148noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1183684513951565066.post-31103696240778559772009-10-04T00:44:00.001-07:002009-10-06T02:25:46.699-07:00Confessions of a two-timer

Yup, I know, you're probably scratching your heads right now, why this kind of entry on this blogsite when I should be giving directions. Well, just read the banner of this blogsite it says there what we are. This time we'll "try" to give a remedy on one of the challenges that most men are facing, being a "two-timer".

Let's define what a two-timer is. From pathfinder's dictionary, a two-timer is someone who has two or more (we don't call them more timers even if they exceeded two) girlfriends or boyfriends at the same time. Two-timers are also known as "tulisan" which means sharp, sharp that they can lacerate or penetrate almost anything.

Let's find out why guys tend to be two-timers, one of my friends who is a we'll known two-timer in our group will tell us why they commit this kind of act. We will call him LB (not low blow but Lover Boy for short)

Pathfinder: How do you manage not to get caught by your girlfriend when you are dating other girls?

LB: First, I don't walk with the girl I'm dating, usually, I'm in front of her and pretending that I don't know her, when we dine, we usually look for a place that is hidden or with less people around. Or sometimes, if we go to a crowded place like a mall, I just pray that no one will see me with another girl.

Pathfinder: And do you think God will listen to your prayer?

LB: I'm not sure, I haven't caught yet. Sabi ngani kayan sa bikol kusugan mo lang ang boot mo (In our dialect it says "just have faith")

Pathfinder: I see, you're quiet remorseless with what your doing.

LB: (No reaction, but just a shoulder shrug, with a wide grin on his face, this guy is evil I mean pro)

Pathfinder: Why can't you stick with your girlfriend? ( I can hear Bodjie's Law of Gravity's "Sana dalawa ang Puso ko" music)

LB: (5 seconds of silence) I'm having doubts with myself if I still love my current girlfriend, we've been through a lot like walking along quince martirez (a park here in Naga City), holding hands, while eating fishball and ice cream all at the same time and imagine we're doing this while holding each others hands, there was even a time when I had an overdose of ice cream (durian flavor) and kwek-kwek (a street food, an egg coated with orange colored flour) I was rushed to the hospital, I found out that it was not a simple case of gluttony but it was a case of food poisoning, whoever the vendor was, I guess he bought those eggs from hell. She was there all the time to take care of me, and because of that incident we promised to love each other and not to eat kwek-kwek anymore, we will just stick to fishballs.
She even asked me if I'm decided to marry her, and without any second thoughts I said I'm not sure, I'm sure it broke her heart, I was honest to myself, I'm not even sure if I want to get married, with so many women who are willing to go out with me I don't think I'll be able to settle with just one girl. I guess I loved her for the good times we've shared (this guy is really evil) but when challenges come I felt so numb that I don't even want to see her or visit her at their house because I had a bad experience there. Whenever I visit her and her father is around he'll always get his revolver and clean it infront of me, isn't it scary? Will you still visit her if it will cost your life? Her father is well trained in negative reinforcement. Back in November of 2008 the second and third floors of the three-story public market and more than 700 stalls were burned(caused by a single candle). The owners of burned stalls were relocated at a new vicinity located along Abella Street. So if you want to go to the market you will have to tell the tricycle driver that you're going to the market at Abella( If you just say market the driver will take you to the old market place).

The new market place along Abella

I went to the market with Ate Nits(my mom) and had this chance to talk with one of the vendors in the market, The transcript of the conversation is written below (in Bikol, translated in English, I tried my best in translating the words :-
)).

Pathfinder: Anong oras po kamo nagbubukas digdi?
(What time do you open?)

Stall Owner: Mga alas dos nin aga noy, minsan alas tres.
(We open the store by 2:00AM or sometimes at 3:00AM)

Pathfinder: Amayon man po, may nagbabakal naman arog kayan na oras?
(That's too early, are there buyers around those times?)

(Yes, a lot of them are store owners too, they'll sell it somewhere else, it's cheaper to buy goods here and you get to choose the fresh ones, if you'll be here by 6:00AM chances are you'll get the left-overs).

This is the proper way of helping someone in weighing bananas

Pathfinder: Papano po maaaraman kung may daya ang kilohan?
(How will I know if the weighing scale is not accurate?)

Stall Owner: Mayong daya ang kilohan ko noy, pero ang iba dyan igwa, may nagdadakop man sa mga madaya sa kilohan. Saka, tano ka baya kadakulon hapot, mabakal ka?
(Mine's accurate, but some vendors' are cheating when it comes to weighing scale, don't worry, there's a team monitoring it, and why are you asking too much questions, are you going to buy?).

Pathfinder: Naghahapot lang po, pero salamat pong maray.
(I'm just asking, thank you so much for taking time answering my questions)

One thing I noticed about the vendors at the new Naga City public market is that they are very friendly and very polite. I didn't catch them, because the parade ended so early. In some radio announcements they said that the military parade this year will start from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, so I was so complacent, I went to Panganiban drive (where the military parades starts) at 10:00 AM only to find out that they are no longer there.

But it was okay, I guess Fluvial procession is more important than the military parade, so I walked again, this time not in black shirt anymore (I was thinking that you are good looking when you are wearing black shirt and a camera strap around your neck that screams Nikon) For the fluvial procession I wore my 3 year old shorts and my faded, fresh from the treasure chest t-shirt. If I don't have the camera with me I'm going to look like a beggar (Taong Grasa).

Sharing the snaps now. Next year would be the 300 years of devotion to Ina, I hope to see more people and more experience and a stronger devotion to our Lady of Peñafrancia.pathfinderhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01269086438971137148noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1183684513951565066.post-15397939269696033582009-09-18T20:11:00.000-07:002009-09-22T04:04:22.055-07:00Remedy for the boredom in your workplace

Things that can remedy your boredom when you're alone in the office

Call your friends, tell them that you miss them (this is a form of blackmailing them), ask them to come to your office and bring pizza, coffee, balloons, soda (I recommend Sparkle, I hope you can find one) and puto bumbong (I also hope you can find one).

Surf the net, facebook, friendster, twitter, google, digitalphotographer.com.ph, bicoldirections.blogspot.com, ufc.tv or search for the answers to your weirdest question through the search engines (you don't know what a search engine is? go to google and search "search engines"), but you have to do this moderately, you might fail to accomplish your work, your boss won't be happy and it's hard to reason out that you didn't finish your work because you were too busy surfing the net.

Listen to some music, I will strongly recommend ACDC's back in black, if it won't work because you're boredom is so severe that you feel that coming to work everyday is a pain in the butt, then I'll recommend John Legend's "Each day gets better"(it's a good song, and I'm not joking, tell me once you heard it through my message area).

Call your gf or your bf I hope they can inspire you to continue working( but most of the time they will encourage you to go home or meet somewhere, so this is not highly recommended).

No gf or bf? If it's your first time to visit Naga City, bicoldirections will recommend a place where you can find the good food you are looking for, this restaurant is all over the city and all over the Bicol region as well.

this is not a space ship, this is a restaurant, Biggs Diner

You can't brag to your friends that you visited Bicol without experiencing Biggs Diner, I'm no food expert but for someone who loves eating there's no way you won't appreciate the way they cook your food and the amount of serving they give the customers.pathfinderhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01269086438971137148noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1183684513951565066.post-49077645707456123682009-09-05T05:31:00.000-07:002009-09-06T03:42:21.491-07:00TIME OUT from the usual Bicol Directions blog

Okay, I just want to remind you that this blogsite is not only existing to give directions, we are also here to give or probably to draw out some realizations. I'm sure you already experienced it, and I'm sure you already tried controlling your cough but the more you control it the more your throat becomes itchy and suddenly you're going to surprise people with your explosive cough(like a firecracker that exploded), or even if you managed to suppress it I'm certain that you're eyes are going to get teary as if you remembered the moment you get rejected by your crush back in high school just because your crush was 5'6 and you were only 5,'0 but now, you are already 5,1 (oh, the miracle of circumcision).

Since I don't want to experience such things, I tried to look for some ways on how to get rid of this tickly throat of mine, I so feel like scratching it, but since my index finger is too short to reach my inner throat I wouldn't try doing it even if I had a longer one. I got a suggestion from a person who is very close to me and I think that she is somehow reliable because she is my girl friend, she told me to drink a warm water with extracted ginger. There was this myth that chewing ginger like bubble gum will make you a better singer which I almost believe because most people i knew who knows how to sing smells like ginger :-) . So we decided to visit a place called "The Coffee Beanery" that's along the Magsaysay Avenue here in Naga City at Avenue Square to be exact. They serve this out of ordinary tea which is called "ginger mint tea".

TCB's Ginger mint tea

Let me describe the looks of it first, the green colored thingy in it is not a moss it's a kind of mint jelly or in our dialect is called "sago"and yes, it's edible it won't be there if it's not. The scent is a combination of mint and ginger which is very soothing to the olfactory sense, by the way before I mislead you The Coffee Beanery's ginger mint tea is not for aroma theraphy, you may like the scent of it but you'll like it more when you drink it. Oh, can I tell you how it tasted? It was second to none, the taste was very natural, I guess you will have to try it for you to believe.

And how's tickly throat after? Once you have seen the most famous landmark in the Bicol Region, the Mayon Volcano and the capital city of the province you are indeed in Albay.

I was on an official business trip to Legazpi a day ago, the weather was exremely hot and I'm thinking that the active Mayon volcano could be the culprit for the very humid weather but it was definitely fine, I felt great relief everytime Mayon will show its beauty (when there are no clouds covering her).

The business trip became a sort of a relaxing vacation when I looked for a hotel where I can rest and spend the night over. The place was recommended by a friend, The name of the hotel is Jennifer Hotel, with the name you might think that the hotel has a naughty reputation, you know what I mean. I lost my way in finding my path to the recommended place, I was thinking that it's near the highway but the truth is you have to walk through a small road, like 500 meters away from the highway. You have to tell the jeepney driver to drop you off at St. Agnes (a school), from there you can find your way going to Jennifer.

I was in disbelief when I arrive at the place it was very far from what I was expecting, the place was awesome, and when I say awesome it is an understatement, it was great!

And the full name of the hotel is Jennifer's Kababayan Hotel Inc.
Now that's a decent name, a decent name for a very decent place. (Centro) you have to look for a tricycle (three wheeled motorized vehicle).
This is the easiest and the cheapest way to go to centro (7.00 pesos, 6.00 pesos if you're a student or a senior citizen, 5.00 pesos if you're a senior citizen and a student at the same time :-))

Drivers will definitely ask for your destination, don't tell them the street name, just tell them the name of the establishment you want to go, like if you're going to the hotel, you say the name of the hotel.
If you have luggages they might ask for an additional fare, they'll charge you based on the size or weight of the luggage, you have to negotiate with the driver before leaving the terminal so that once you get off from the tricycle you don't have to argue with Mr. Driver why with the extra fare.

If you think you were overcharged by the driver just get the four digit number of the tricycle (it comes in four different colors, blue, red, yellow and green) and have the number reported to the PSO (Public Safety Office 472-6265 , look for Lito).

Have a nice time staying in Naga :-)

You will know that you're in Centro once you see this landmark, the Quince Martirez

pathfinderhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01269086438971137148noreply@blogger.com3
